Splash

My submission for the 2021 Hum3d car render challenge. https://hum3d.com/challenges/splash/ For this project I wanted to create a sense of wonder. Is the car floating or falling? A main source of inspiration was mid century modern architecture, postcards and artwork. I chose to model an Aston Martin DB5 for two reasons. First of all, it is arguably one of the best designed cars of all time. Second of all, it matches the time period. This project is unlike anything I have done before and I thoroughly enjoyed working on it. I want to thank Hum3d for hosting this challenge. Good luck to everyone involved! I look forward to seeing the creativity that sparks from this competition.
